Realsafe Technologies, the company behind motorcycle App REALRIDER® the first 999 certified App in the UK, has been recognized once again for its innovative approach to health and wellbeing.

Winning silver in the health and safety monitoring category at the Edison Awards™ 2016, the company was honoured for its contribution to society through the development of its life-saving technology, REALsafe® crash detection, that automatically connects motorcyclists to the nearest Ambulance service in the event of a crash.

The ballot of nominees for the Edison Awards™ was judged by a panel of more than 3,000 leading business executives including past award winners, academics and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering, science and medical.

Attending the ceremony in New York, CEO Zoe Farrington said “Winning an Edison Award is one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the name of innovation and business, and as a small UK based technology company we are delighted to have been selected.”

In addition to the Awards Gala, the annual Edison Awards programme encompassed a full-day “Meet the Innovators Forum” and the “Innovators’ Showcase,” where attendees listened to presentations from some of the world’s most respected authorities on innovation, networked with the innovators of today, and experienced a hands-on look at many of the winning products.
